EMDR Therapy

Let’s get unstuck. Together.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a powerful, evidence-based therapy that helps people process trauma, emotional pain, and overwhelming life experiences without having to retell every detail.

If you’ve been carrying something heavy, feeling triggered in ways that don’t always make sense, or stuck in patterns you can’t think your way out of, EMDR might be the support your nervous system has been needing.

What Is EMDR, Really?

EMDR helps your brain reprocess distressing memories or beliefs so they no longer feel as raw, overwhelming, or “stuck.” It works by using bilateral stimulation (like eye movements, tapping, or sounds) to help your brain access its natural healing process. Kind of like REM sleep, but while you're awake and supported.

You stay in control the whole time. I’ll walk you through each step, and we’ll only go as deep as you’re ready for.

What EMDR Can Help With:

💥 Trauma and PTSD
💭 Intrusive thoughts
😞 Anxiety and depression
🪞 Shame, self-esteem, and internalized narratives
🚫 Phobias or irrational fears
🌈 Identity-based trauma (e.g. queerphobia, ableism)

My EMDR Style

Like everything I offer, EMDR is person-centered, trauma-informed, and flexible. I adapt the process to fit your needs, your brain, and your pace. We’ll focus on safety and resourcing first, so you feel grounded before we begin any deeper work.

EMDR doesn’t have to be rigid, clinical, or retraumatizing. It can be creative, collaborative, and empowering.

What Sessions Look Like

We’ll start with preparation: building trust, understanding the process, and learning regulation tools. Once you feel ready, we’ll identify a target memory or issue and move through it slowly, using bilateral stimulation to help your brain process and integrate the experience.

Sessions are virtual and typically last 50 minutes, though some folx prefer extended sessions (just ask!).
